How To Improve Your Interpersonal Communication Skills?

Do you have problems with your interpersonal communication skills? These skills are very important if you want to be an entrepreneur.  Do you know that the skills can be improve? Here some suggestions that might help you to improve your interpersonal communication skills.

Control facial expressions. Don't give mixed signals with your facial expressions. Sometimes you will be saying yes, while your face is clearly saying no. Make sure your face and your voice agree.

Watch the tone of voice. Tone is one of the communication areas that people pick up on first. The tone can change a simple statement into a condescending comment.

Be honest, but practice tact. Honesty really is the best policy, but there are times when tact is needed.

Don't interrupt. You'll get your turn. You just have to wait.

Keep a normal pace when speaking. Talking too fast or too slow will give off different meanings and messages.

Watch body movements. Simple things like crossing your arms will make someone feel unwelcome.

Give the proper reaction. When someone says that someone close to them has passed away, you don't laugh. Keep everything appropriate.

Smile when greeting others. You will seem more inviting.
